How to Rent
We rent out our motorcycles through Riders-Share.com and TwistedRoad.com. These are services similar to Airbnb, but for motorcycles. These services verify the rider's license, provide insurance, and handle the entire payment process.
Step 1: Choose Your Platform and Set Up an Account
You can find all of our motorcycles on the Our Motorcycles page with direct links to the rental pages. The Planning Calendar will help you determine which bikes are available for your desired dates.
Step 3: Complete Your Reservation and Prepare to Ride
Complete your reservation directly through Riders-Share.com or TwistedRoad.com. Every renter who makes a reservation with us will receive a direct message on the platform confirming their reservation and asking any questions we may have for you.
Step 2: Choose Your Motorcycle and Dates
If you do not already have an account with Riders-Share.com or TwistedRoad.com, choose one, visit their website, and set up your account with them. We prefer Riders-Share.com, but both services work great. Also, once you have an account with one of these services, you will have access to rental motorcycles all over the world!
Step 4: Enjoy Your Ride
Once your reservation time arrives, we will meet you at the pre-arranged location. We will take the time to go over the motorcycle with you and answer any questions you may have. We will then complete the check-in process for either Riders-Share or Twisted Road. Then you are off to enjoy our beautiful area on two wheels!
FAQs
Will you deliver the motorcycles to us?
Yes! We are happy to meet you with your rental bike at the Portland International Jetport (PWM), the Portland Transportation Center (which offers Amtrak train service and Concord Coach Lines bus service) or anywhere you may be staying within 25 miles of Portland, Maine. Be sure to check the delivery box when making your reservation on the rental platform.
What documents are needed?
All documentation is handled through your chosen rental platform. Generally, a valid motorcycle license is a great start.
Can I rent long-term?
Yes, both platforms offer discounts for extended rentals. Just check the specific motorcycle’s availability and terms.
Do you rent helmets?
Yes! We offer basic DOT-approved full-face helmets for a nominal fee. Payment is handled directly through the rental platform
What if I need to cancel?
The cancellation policies vary between the platforms. We recommend reviewing the platform’s rules before booking to avoid surprises. If possible, cancelling at least 24 hours before the reservation starts is appreciated. Within 24 hours, there will be a charge from either platform. We are happy to work with you to adjust the reservation by a few hours or days if the weather isn't looking great.
How do I pick up the bike?
When making your reservation, you will have the option of picking up your bike at a local motorcycle shop near Portland, or requesting delivery within 25 miles of Portland.
How does the insurance work?
All insurance is handled through your chosen rental platform. If you have further questions, both platforms offer responsive support by email.
